passport day. the adventure begins. we leave in a less than one month. when we booked the trip we made a (dumb) assumption that our kids passports were still valid. it hasn't been that long since our trip to Egypt, has it? well, if you are under the age of 16, you get to pay for a passport every 5 years instead of every 10. how cool!
and the rush to find birth certificates began... i gave up after 5 minutes and scheduled an appointment with the county courthouse.
in the meantime, my kids made a scientific countdown calendar. actually, they made 3. one for the boys, one for ana, and one for me. i'm required to keep it above my bed.
ben already crossed out all of the days on his. he says, "i'm already there."
